I built against MSW mocks shaped to the expected contract and gated each product section behind its own feature flag. Teams could demo and review complete flows early, then switch to live data without a rewrite.

01 / Context
Vorda needed a complete digital operating system: a web admin for participants, workers, rostering, payroll and compliance, plus a field app for support workers. I joined as the sole frontend engineer and owned all three surfaces from architecture to stakeholder builds.

How I approached it.
One contract across web and native
A shared TypeScript package held every request and response type. API drift surfaced at compile time, and both applications stayed aligned as the backend evolved.
Verify the real API
I probed staging endpoints before wiring them in, documented mismatches precisely, and caught missing fields and incorrect types before those issues reached users.
Keep AI secrets server-side
Progress-note generation and incident analysis ran through a server-side proxy, giving the apps the feature without ever shipping the provider key to a device.

Senior ownership under real constraints: designing for a moving backend, enforcing type-safety across web and native, integrating AI securely, and shipping an ambitious compliance product without trading away correctness.
